Illustrations from the Newgate Calendar
These are not the best resolution, but they are old engravings anyway. Taken from The Newgate Calendar. Subtitled The Malefactors' Bloody Register, it began as a bulletin of executions from Newgate Prison, but eventually became a literary rogues gallery.
